Event Management
  • Project managed and arranged various functions and events, managing the contractors for catering, audio/visual equipment, IT and telecommunications where required, and ensuring that venues are ready for the events.
  • Involved with community initiatives with SAGO (in Oman) and SASCOM (in Qatar) on a volunteer basis. Designed and maintained the websites for both of these South African groups in the Middle East. Organising various events and coordinating sponsorship for these events hosted in both Oman and Qatar.
  • Part of the How Women Work team organising various conferences and flash mobs in Qatar. Maintained the HWW website.
  • Project managed various volunteer staffing requirements in the capacity of Regional IT Staffing Manager during the 2005 West Asian Games and the 2006 Doha Asian Games at Khalifa Stadium, Hamad Aquatics Centre, Aspire Zone (Sport City Precinct) and various other venues around Doha, managing volunteers, permanent staff and contractors for these venues.
